OCTA selected Transitvue Communication Systems to provide a complete integrated Passenger Information System (PIS) for each Streetcar station. PIS includes integrated double sided, P3 full color LED digital platform displays, public address system and TV Pro on-premises PIS software. The OCTA PIS is being integrated by JM Fiber Optics of Chino, CA.

The OCTA Streetcar Orange County California’s first modern streetcar system. It will run through the cities of Santa Ana and Garden Grove. It serves ten stops in each direction along its 4.15-mile (6.68 km) route. The streetcar will operate between the Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center to a new Harbor Transit Center in Garden Grove, offering a link to downtown Santa Ana, as well as nearby residential neighborhoods, parks, and trails. Construction on the streetcar broke ground on November 30, 2018, and the line expected to open to the public in early 2023.

The TransitVUE® PIS will allow you to display and announce real-time arrival/departure information, time of day, safety messages, information videos, mass notifications, news feeds as well as helpful passenger destination and wayfinding information.
